The Mijas Town Hall’s Department of Livestock and the Peña Caballista Mijeña would like to remind you of the new edition of the route through the Sierra de Mijas that they have organised for this Saturday, 23rd of May. It is a day-long ride, setting off from El Esparragal, from the riding club’s headquarters, at 9:30, covering a distance of 24 kilometres.

The route includes various stops for refreshments and lunch, as well as rest breaks for horses and riders. Registrations can be made by calling 620 58 13 50 or 670 06 60 75. This club is renowned for the routes it organises, both in the countryside and on the beach, which highlight the historic link between horses and the town of Mijas.

As well as being a pleasure for the rider, these types of rides help horses to exercise their muscles and reduce their stress levels, thereby improving their temperament.
