Mijas has everything ready for its senior citizens to enjoy, as usual, the traditional Andalusian breakfast on Andalusia Day. The event will take place, as always, on the 28th of February at the municipality's active participation and senior centres. Bread with olive oil, coffee and a desire to have a great time are the basic ingredients for next Saturday's event.

The councillor for Senior Citizens at the Mijas Town Hall, Silvia Marín (PP), explained that breakfast will be served from 9:00 to 11:00 hours at the Active Participation Centre in Mijas Pueblo and from 9:30 to 11:30 hours at the Las Lagunas and La Cala senior centres. "We invite all our senior citizens to come along, not only to enjoy bread with olive oil, but also to have a wonderful Andalusia Day", said the councillor, adding that the senior citizens dance group led by UP instructor María José Bueno will also be performing in Las Lagunas. "They will perform a sevillana and we will surely sing the Andalusian anthem", said Marín.
Breakfast will be free for members, who usually attend dressed for the occasion "in green and white" and "with that Andalusian flair", added the councillor.
