On Monday 19th, Mijas expressed its condolences to the victims and families of the train accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon in the Cordoba municipality of Adamuz. At 12 noon, authorities and municipal staff, as well as local residents, gathered in front of the Town Hall to observe a minute's silence as a sign of mourning and respect for all those affected by this tragedy.

Also in response to this accident, the Mijas Town Hall decided to suspend all institutional activities scheduled for Monday.
