The elderly residents of Mijas deserve a special Christmas. That is why the Mijas Town Hall's Department for Senior Citizens is once again organising a lunch for them to celebrate these special festivities together. Those interested in participating must register in advance, with the registration period having begun on Thursday.

Las Lagunas

Seniors in the Las Lagunas district who are interested in attending the Christmas lunch can register on the 12th, 15th and 16th of December at the Active Participation Centre.

Mijas Pueblo and La Cala

For residents of both Mijas Pueblo and La Cala, the registration dates are the same. Registration must be done on the 15th and 16th of December at the Virgen de la Peña Active Participation Centre in Mijas or at the La Cala Senior Citizens' Centre.

As every year, the aim is for senior citizens to get together at Christmas, exchange Christmas greetings and enjoy the festivities in company, bearing in mind that many of them live alone and do not have their families nearby.
