Fun, spooky and charitable, that’s how the Halloween party at Saint Anthony’s College in Mijas was, with students and teaching staff once again surprising everyone this year. Friday 24th had all the ingredients to make the celebration even better, even though last year they had already set the bar very high. Everyone helped decorate the school, which looked absolutely “to die for”.
Students came dressed as witches, Draculas, vampires, blood-stained doctors and nurses, werewolves, evil clowns, zombies, mummies and even Death itself. Everyone contributed one euro for wearing a costume and donated between one and two euros to participate in the games and the haunted house organised by the Baccalaureate students. Each class also ran a costume parade and competition, while parents contributed by bringing sweet and savoury dishes inspired by Halloween, which were sold to raise money for charity.
The councillor for Foreigners at the Mijas Town Hall, Mario Bravo (PP), attended the event and also contributed to the donations. All proceeds will be handed over to Adimi after the autumn holidays, which the Saint Anthony's College community is enjoying this week.
