The exhibition, which features pieces created in dialogue with the natural environment, reflects the transformation of earth, fire and ash into sculptural forms full of expressiveness. Using materials found in the landscape, such as stones, wood, bones and ash from different trees, Persson creates works that explore the limits of traditional ceramics.
The councillor for Tourism, Francisco Jerez, highlighted that this type of initiative strengthens Mijas’ cultural appeal as a leading tourist destination: "It's not just about displaying art, but about creating experiences that add value to the Mijas brand. Exhibitions like this help us to stand out on the Costa del Sol, offering our visitors something more than just sun and sand: a chance to encounter creativity and nature through art".

Jerez also emphasised the international dimension of welcoming acclaimed artists: "The fact that creators from different countries want to exhibit here shows that Mijas is an open, interesting place with the ability to attract talent. Each exhibition connects us with new perspectives and enriches our identity as a modern and culturally vibrant municipality".
Finally, he encouraged residents and visitors to visit the Mijas Pueblo Tourist Office during August: "I invite everyone to discover this exhibition because it is an opportunity to enjoy something different, an experience that reinforces our pride in living in Mijas and leaves a positive impression on those who visit us".

For her part, the artist Jessica Persson explained the meaning behind her work: "The tones I use come from the earth and the coast, amber and sienna colours that I integrate into my pieces. I work directly in the landscape, sometimes leaving the works outdoors so that they capture the spirit of the environment. I don't use conventional tools, only my hands and materials found in nature".

Persson, who teaches workshops at the Mijas Arts Centre, added that her aim is to invite the public to reconnect with the slower pace of the natural environment: "We live in a world that spins far too fast. With my work, I want to invite people to slow down, reconnect with nature and truly listen to it. If my pieces help people feel that, then I have achieved my goal".
