The ordinary plenary session of the Mijas Town Hall held on Monday 10th of March, but corresponding to the month of February, gave final approval to the partial development plan which affects the Rincón del Hinojal. The modification, said the councillor for Town Planning, Lourdes Burgos (PP), is in line with the planning of the future Mijas: “Sustainable, efficient and respectful of the natural environment”.
This final approval comes almost two decades after the initial approval, which was presented in 2006. In this way, this area located between Mijas Golf and Lomas del Flamenco of 268,000 square meters is readjusted urbanistically with 105,000 square meters for roads and infrastructure; 94,500 for housing, of which 108 may be single-family homes, 198 semi-detached and 223 in low-density blocks with a maximum of three levels; and 68,000 for green areas.
