According to the data provided by the clubs, a total of 3,138 athletes (2,205 in collective sports and 933 in individual sports) have benefited from this aid. Of the overall total, 257 athletes attended Andalusian championships and 94 attended Spanish championships.

Furthermore, in this announcement, aid has been granted to three more clubs than in the previous year.

The clubs will receive this aid to cover the operating costs they faced that year, which include federation expenses, transport, accommodation and meals, staff costs, equipment, medical expenses, insurance, renting of facilities, trophies, prizes, administration and operating costs, etc.

According to Alarcón, "these aids are important for the functioning of the clubs in Mijas, which is why they have increased by 76,135.28 euros compared to the previous year, exceeding a total amount of 726,500 euros. In addition, for the Town Hall, the promotion of sport and support for clubs and athletes is essential. Thus, with these subsidies, the Town Hall supports clubs, athletes and families, who play an important role in promoting the values of sport and physical activity".

On the 16th of September 2024, in the Official Gazette of the Province, the call for applications 2024 for Grants to Sports Entities of Mijas to finance the running costs of the year 2023 was published. These grants are awarded through competitive tendering and prior justification of expenses, this being the second time that this procedure has been used.

The Sports Department has already announced that next year there will also be 800,000 euros for subsidies to these entities.

This entity had 1,316 members that year. José Manuel Quero, president of the club, stated that "we are happy.
