This first group of retirees and pensioners visited the Crypt and Museum of Fray Leopoldo de Alpandeire on monday afternoon. After the Alhambra, it is the second most visited place in the city. As a note, more than 2,000 people visit the tomb of this friar every day, where the faithful leave their prayers.
The attendees highlighted the good preservation and organisation of the place. "It's all very well preserved, very well prepared, and I liked both", said one of the elders. For others, it was a new experience: "It's the first time I've seen it and I really liked it".
The elderly were accompanied by the councillors of the Mijas Town Hall, Melisa Ceballos (PP) and Mari Francis Alarcón (PP), who stressed that "they seemed very happy and enjoying. Now they are going to have some free time and some of them are going to buy lottery tickets".
After recharging their batteries, the day continued with a lively dance session to the rhythm of the classic from the 60s and 70s. The dance floor was full of energy and the seniors did not hide their enthusiasm.
The night ended with a performance by Enrique Heredia, who put the finishing touch to a day that proved that age is not a limit to enjoying life.
