On Thursday 7th, the Idiliq Foundation handed over all the proceeds from its latest charity events, a total of 15,000 euros. The group celebrated its pink month in October, full of charitable activities aimed at raising funds for breast cancer.
According to the president of the foundation, Juan Miguel Marcos, “the month’s contribution was 15,000 euros, the largest contribution in a single year, in addition to other events we have held with the AECC”. Likewise, Marcos added that during the year “sports activities, yoga classes, raffles, the Smile Mile, a solidarity lunch and breakfast for all the volunteers” have been carried out”.
At the presentation of the cheque, the founding member and promoter of this organisation, Roy Peires, thanked all the volunteers for their work and involvement in charitable causes. The cheque was received by the president of the AECC in Malaga, Joaquín Morales, who thanked the foundation for its enormous work and effort. “This help is essential, like so many others that we receive from generous organisations and individuals. The AECC dedicates all its efforts to carry out prevention, care and research work”, he said.
The ceremony was attended by the mayoress of the municipality, Ana Mata (PP), and the councillor for Volunteering and Social Inclusion, Melisa Ceballos (PP), , as well as the representatives of the association in Mijas, Lola Sanchís. The mayoress of Mijas stressed that “the Idiliq Foundation should always be thanked. It is a company with soul, its staff are committed 365 days a year to do their bit”.
