The Mijas Town Hall, through the Hostel Department, has received a grant of 219,922 euros, from the Corresponsables Plan, which promotes activities that favour the reconciliation of family and work, and which is awarded by the Department of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality of the Junta de Andalucía, with funding from the Spanish Ministry of Equality.

In this sense, the councillor of the department, Silvia Marín (PP), explained that Mijas has allocated this money to cover part of the expenses related to the staff who work at the Entrerríos hostel, a municipal facility that offers a solution to reconcile work and family life in the municipality, "in fact, this year a total of 5,231 children aged between 2 and 14 years have been able to participate in the White Week, Easter and summer camps, as well as in the various school meetings organised in this centre".

Marín indicated that, thanks to these funds, the structural costs of the instructors, cooks, lifeguards, cleaning staff, operators and the nursing staff who work at the hostel have been covered, as well as a large part of the materials: "We are grateful that between administrations there is this kind of aid to provide a good service to the public. Sometimes is not easy to reconcile work and family life, which is why the administration must get involved to provide these services and support families in the difficult task of reconciling work and family life", said the councillor.

Finally, the councillor recalled that the camps and activities that take place in Entrerríos are designed for children to spend unforgettable days, "so we organise all kinds of proposals where nature and outdoor initiatives occupy a preferential place, with ecological workshops, costumes and crafts, times to visit the garden, theatre and cooking...."
