The third preseason tournament of the C.P. Mijas Volleyball has made a leap in quality this season inviting important clubs of the Andalusian volleyball in the categories from 12 to 13 yearls old, from 14 to 15 and from 16 to 18 years old. More than 200 players will compete on Saturday and Sunday in the sports centre of La Cala de Mijas from nine o'clock in the morning until late in the afternoon.  The club will be opening a bar outside the facility.

The invited clubs come from Almería, Granada, Jaén, Cádiz and Málaga. "The objective is twofold, on the one hand that the fans of Mijas can enjoy quality volleyball, and on the other hand, that the players of the club improve their skills by playing against other teams", said one of the coaches of the club, Samuel David Gutierrez.  

The club continues to grow with the incorporation of a new coach, several children's teams, and a new training and playing area in the courts of the El Olmo school.  The Mijas Town Hall applauds this initiative and invites fans to enjoy this sport. Mari Francis Alarcón, councillor for Sports (PP): "We have the preseason Volleyball Tournament, with a lot of participation of both Mijas athletes and high level teams from various Andalusian provinces, it is going to be a weekend with lots of activity and sporting events".
