Monday 19th of August will be a memorable day for Alejandra Mérida. The young girl from La Cala, who stands out for her big smile, dark hair and, above all, for her friendly personality, entered the contest for Queen of the Malaga Fair representing the Peña La Paz. The election took place last Tuesday night at the Portada del Real, the event was organised by the Federación Malagueña de Peñas, and Alejandra was representing the Peña de La Paz. Meanwhile, Pedro Calle, from the Peña Costa del Sol, received the title of ‘Míster’.  

The day was long, she said, but the heels, the dress and the nerves were worth it. In 2022 Alejandra, was elected lady of honour of the La Cala Fair, and as she has said, "in this second attempt I have been crowned", in this case she has obtained the title that recognizes her as the queen of the Malaga Fair, in a competition in which 32 girls and 12 boys participated.

She is 19 years old, this year she is going to start a higher course in Marketing and Advertising and on the weekends, she works as a waitress. This young woman does not rule out combining her studies with fashion.
