The Andalucía Park hosted last Friday the first of three events included in the Veraneando programme, promoted by the Department of Festivities and Traditions of the Mijas Town Hall. An initiative of varied styles and designed to be enjoyed by the whole family. The comedians Jacob Torres and Javi Peloches were the first stars on stage and, with their particular vision of life, made the public laugh. "As some people in the audience told me, they are here to have a good time and laugh and that is what it is all about, that in summer we can laugh and enjoy the evenings in Las Lagunas", said the councillor in charge of the department, Silvia Marín (PP).

During his monologue, Jacob Torres appealed for a round of applause for those grandmothers who never tire of offering food to their grandchildren: "Why is it that when your grandson visits you, you serve him a stew, a Spanish omelette, cheese, bread, olives, etc., and you see your him lying in bed exhausted, full, and you go to him and say 'are you hungry, do you want me make you a fried egg?'". Both Peluches and Torres agree that, on most occasions, the funniest stories arise from the most ordinary things.
The next Veraneando event will be this Friday in the María Zambrano Park, where Maníacos will be performing at 22:00.
