The Mijas Town Hall has given final approval in the ordinary plenary session of November to the detailed study of the UE C-14 belonging to the urbanisation Prado Marina. The town planning councillor, Lourdes Burgos (PP), explained that "what is done with this planning instrument is very simple: there was a street planned in the PGOU with no exit, like a cul-de-sac. This road is eliminated and the area is connected to Sunset Avenue". The new road, which currently exists as a dirt track, "will be 9 metres wide, which is what is proposed in this modification, with pavements and all the services", added the councillor.
Burgos clarified that this is an old file that has "all the favourable reports" and that it does not entail any modification of "alignments, gradients or loss of green areas, nor any increase in buildability". The final approval of this detailed study went ahead with the endorsement of the government team and the abstentions of PSOE and Cs.
