Due to the fire that broke out early this morning in the area of Los Condes and which is already affecting several areas of the municipality, 112 has provided the population with some recommendations. In the last few hours preventive evictions of residents of Valtocado, Rincón del Hinojal, Lomas del Flamenco and the initial perimeter of Mijas Golf (northern part of Mijas Golf) have been carried out.  The rest of the residents of the latter area are advised to remain indoors due to the smoke in the area.
In addition, the Emergency Services are asking residents to avoid going out on the streets. Those who are at home should close doors and windows, especially if there are elderly people or people with respiratory problems. They should also avoid travelling on roads near the fire. Residents are also asked to follow the instructions given by the emergency services at all times, and not to cause alarm or spread false rumours.
