The Ministry for Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) is carrying out structural rehabilitation work on the A-7 Mediterranean dual carriageway, from km 1013.145 to 1041.230, in the municipalities of Mijas and Marbella.

For this reason, and to guarantee the safety of workers and users, traffic has already been affected and will continue to be affected until Friday 7th of July, between kilometres 1,025.800 and 1,039 (towards Algeciras) on the A-7.

From tonight until next Friday, the road will be restricted between 22:00 hours and 06:00 hours the following day, when the right lane will be closed and bus stops, exits and junctions will be closed depending on the progress of the works.

The left lane will remain open for vehicle traffic while the work is being carried out. Given the characteristics of the dual carriageway, it is not possible to provide alternative routes while the planned works are being carried out.

During the day, traffic will be restored to normal on the lane on which work was carried out the previous night. The planned works will continue on a weekly basis during the months of July and August.

During this period, work will be carried out to extend the surface layer of the entire dual carriageway, as well as on branch roads and bus stops, the repainting of road markings and the installation of beacons.
