This Thursday 29th in its Restaurante Mediterráneo, the company Grupo Idiliq presented its new real estate project in Mijas, a housing development to be located next to La Cala Resort golf course. A plan that represents an opportunity to boost the economic and employment network of Mijas as the councillor for Town Planning, Laura Moreno (PSOE) said: "this work will generate employment in our municipality, and we have to support all these tourist developments, while ensuring that such developments are controlled and are environmentally sustainable. Therefore, we are working to develop sustainable, green urbanism and Mijas is moving forward in this direction".

Moreno also stressed that from the Town Hall it is "important that public-private collaboration is supported", but, she remarked, that "companies should be required to count on employees from Mijas". If everything goes according to plan, the project will open its doors in two years' time as a residential complex with hotel services.

For Idiliq's strategy director, Juan José Millán, this development "is very important because it is the first residential development by Wyndham Grand, a very important American brand that will bring high quality clients to the Costa del Sol".

The residence will consist of 58 two- and three-bedroom townhouses, as well as offering other facilities such as a state-of-the-art gym, spa and sauna, and a co-working area, among other services.
