According to the Economy and Finance Councillor, Roy Pérez (PSOE), the Town Hall decided to cancel appointments in this department from that date. He announced that from 17th October, payment of taxes and other queries can still be made on-site at the Mayor's Offices and the Town Hall at regular opening times.

The Town Hall also reminded us that taxes and other fees can be paid until 21st November. Citizens have three ways to make this payment: at the Tax Department, both in the Town Hall and the La Cala or Las Lagunas offices; the electronic office through the digital certificate or electronic ID card; and the express payment platform (pago express.mijas.es). " It is necessary that the taxpayer is registered in Mijas and has no direct debit for such payments. They will only need an identification document enabling them to pay conveniently and easily from any device, and at any time of the day", said the Councillor about the express payment platform.

Discounts

The City Council also emphasises the 5% discount for those bills paid by direct debit and whose second collection deadline will be 5th October, except property tax (IBI), which has already taken place. The Town Hall maintains the tax calendar established during the pandemic, in which the dates and deadlines have been extended to make payment easier.
