The Mijas Fair already has a date. From 6th to 11th September, Mijas town will host its festivities in honour of its patron saint. The Virgen de la Peña festivities will have an extended day programme, as in the 2019's edition.
"These festivities will start on Tuesday, 6th September, and continue until Sunday, 11th September. The 8th of September, will be a public holiday in our town as it is the day of our perpetual patron saint, the Virgen de la Peña, who will again take to the town streets in procession after two years of absence due to the pandemic. We are very excited to meet her and all our neighbours again, in six days of festivities for all tastes," said the Mijas Councillor, Josele González (PSOE).

The Councillor for Fiestas, Tamara Vera, announced the daytime fair begins on Wednesday, September 7th. "The best live music, gastronomy and traditional activities await us to enjoy with family and friends on these festivities that end the fairs' season in our municipality. Mijas has three big fairs, Las Lagunas, La Cala and Mijas, so it is a great logistical effort to set up three big fairs in such a short time".
As announced by the Fiestas Department, more details about the artists and other activities that will be part of the Mijas Fair 2022's programme will be announced in the coming days.
