Thus, the M-222 line includes the Algarrobo del Hornillo stop, located between El Mirador and Los Cuevas, before the AP-7 motorway junction. For its part, the M-223 route changes its route, taking Avenida de Suiza to Hotel La Zambra (formerly known as Byblos). Three new stops were established along this road, Avenida de Suiza, Los Navas, and El Limonar.

With these new stops, Mijas Town Council wants to promote, once again, the use of public transport for all residents of urbanisations and scattered areas close to population centres. It is worth remembering that both the M-222 and M-223 lines changed their routes at the end of the year to reach areas and urbanisations such as Valtocado, thus fulfilling a historical residents' demand.

The Councillor for Transport and Mobility of Mijas Town Council, Nicolás Cruz (PSOE), visited these new stops today. The Councillor stressed, "one of the objectives we set in this mandate was to develop and expand public transport services to urbanisations and scattered areas. It will facilitate and promote mobility, especially the elderly, young people or any family who does not have a private vehicle, thus facilitating their travel to the main urban centres".
