The ‘Youth Now Plan’ aims at unemployed people between 18 and 29 years old for six months full-time

The Councillor for Employment, Laura Moreno (PSOE), presented on Wednesday 27th the job codes of the new Employment Plan ‘Youth Now’, which will be active in the coming months and allow the hiring of unemployed people in the town.   “We are informing young people between 18 and 29 years of age who are interested in applying for these jobs of the occupation codes in which they must register, as this step is essential to be selected by the corresponding employment offices”, said Moreno. “To access it will also be necessary to be registered in the Youth Guarantee Fund and register as a job seeker,” she added.
In this sense, Employment Promotion highlighted the importance of the arrival of new employment plans to the town that will allow a total of 118 hires. “The amount allocated by the Junta to the municipality is reduced by almost 50% compared to the previous year’s plans. Besides, the over 29 until  55-year-olds are out, unfortunately. The local government will continue requesting more plans covering the unemployment spectrum to provide opportunities for these people”.

The staff hired will cover the municipal areas, reaching up to 31 different, and the contracts will be for six months and full-time. Those interested not registered in the Youth Guarantee Fund can register online at the State Public Employment Service (SEPE).

Help for those interested

In the same way, according to Margarita Izcue, head of the Department, “from ‘Fomento del Empleo’: We are available to help those interested to resolve any doubts they may have in the process of accessing these positions. We remind those who are not registered must request an appointment in-person and register as job seekers. This way, they can register or modify the codes requested directly by telephone with their employment office. They will carry out the initial selection”. They added that “until September or October, we will not have the final award of funds from the Junta, and that is when the contracts will sign. Those interested have August and part of September to register or modify the data to enter the survey carried out by the SAE for the personnel recruitment”.

The Consistory encouraged those interested who meet the requirements to check the occupation codes in which they register and, if they are not, to update their details at their nearest employment office.
