The Foreigners Department Councillor, Arancha López (Cs), has presented the new Mijas Secrets route programme for March, April and May. As in previous editions, we find cultural, gastronomic and historical itineraries. “There are three activities that will take place in each of these months. There are two dates for each month, so you can have a second chance to do it. Among them, there is a special one, Easter, where you can visit the brotherhoods and learn more about what Easter feels like,” says López. Those responsible for the area point out that Mijas Secrets is much more than just tourism. It is about involving the village people and the local commerce to interact with foreigners, so they can get to know the Mijas Easter Week, why this religious festival is celebrated or, which throne is parading at the moment. In ‘Memories’, there will be a journey through the village’s historical corners and in the one entitled ‘Viticulture’, they will be able to learn about the wealth that Mijas has in the cultivation of its wines. The dates chosen for this new edition of Mijas Secrets routes are: ‘Memories’ scheduled for the 11th and 27th of March. ‘Easter Week’ for the 10th and 17th of April and ‘Viticulture’, scheduled for the 15th and 29th of May.
