Open the agenda for COVID-19 vaccination for children under 6 and 7 years of age

  • This can be requested for children who were born in 2014 and 2015 from Tuesday 4th.

Those who were born between 1964 and 1967, can also apply for booster inoculation

Now, vaccination against COVID-19 can  be requested for children aged 6 and 7 years and booster doses for people aged 54 to 57 years. The Andalusian Health Service (SAS) has opened this week the self-appointment agenda for these age groups. This can be requested for children who were born in 2014 and 2015 from Tuesday 4th. In addition, from Monday 3rd, people who were born in 1964 and 1965 can request an appointment for the booster doses, and from Wednesday 5th, those who were born in 1966 and 1967.

Appointments can be made through the usual channels: the SAS website via ClicSalud+, the mobile application and the Salud Responde telephone number (955 54 50 60) and also at your health centre, preferably by telephone. It is worth remembering that only people over 60 years of age can go to vaccination points without an appointment.

According to the Junta de Andalucía, in the case of adults, this third dose is indicated, if it has passed 6 moths since the second dose of messenger RNA (Pfizer or Moderna), 3 months, since the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine and 3 months, since vaccination with Janssen. At the third dose, messenger RNA vaccines will be given.

No health restrictions

The Regional High Public Health Impact Committee met on Monday 3rd, in Malaga, to analyse the progress of the sixth wave and the spread of the Omicron variant in Andalucía.

At this meeting, it was announced that the hospital pressure, last Monday, was “high” but “normal” at this time of year and “similar” to that of 2019 and 2020, so the committee has not seen the need to “adopt more coercive measures”.
