On the occasion of the celebration of All Saints’ Feast Days, the La Purísima cemetery in Mijas Village is being prepared so that residents can visit their loved ones during this national holiday. “From October 25th to 31st”, explained the councillor for Cemeteries in Mijas, Mari Carmen González (Cs), “we are going to extend the opening hours of the cemetery from 9 am to 9 pm. On November 1st, the schedule will be from 8 am until the end of the visits and on the 2nd, from 8 am to 7 pm, so that no crowds gather on the days closest to the national feast”. The department advised following the same scheme as last year, although it is not mandatory. In this regard, on Monday 25th it would be the turn for those wishing to visit patio A, on Tuesday B and C, on Wednesday, E and F, on Thursday D, G and H, on Friday I and J and, on Saturday, K and L. To this will be added the special transport service organised on the occasion of this national holiday by the Transport and Mobility Department. This service will be enabled from October 29th to November 2nd, both included, from 9 am to 8 pm, while on the 2nd it will be with a more restricted timetable, opening from 9 am to 1 pm. On the other hand, the councillor for Transport in the Mijas Town Hall, Nicolás Cruz (PSOE), recalled that “any citizens wishing to visit their loved ones at the San Cayetano cemetery can use the M-156 bus line within the normally established frequencies, which runs from Cerros del Águila to the Ford roundabout”.
