The upward trend in the numbers of infections left by COVID continues throughout the country, and Mijas is also facing this situation. Between Friday and Monday, the incidence rate has gone from 615.9 to 687.4, an increase of 71.5 points that reflects what is happening in many other parts of Spain. In the province, it has gone from 577.7 to 674.3; in Fuengirola from 631.4 to 653.1 and in Marbella from 974 to 1,022.8. As for infections, from Friday to today 140 new positives are counted in our municipality. The number of deaths in Mijas has remained at 41 since April.
