After several days announcing it through its media and social networks, today Monday, May 17th, coinciding precisely with the commemoration of World Internet Day, Mijas Comunicación (MCSA) has launched its new website. From now on, www.mijascomunicacion.com presents a more attractive, current design with many more images. “Mijas Comunicación has decided to renew its website to adapt to new technologies and the citizens' needs, showing the current situation of our municipality in an easy way and offering immediate and verified information, something essential in these moments in which the so-called 'fake news' is proliferating”, said the mayor of Mijas, Josele González (PSOE), during the official presentation of the website.
The new Mijas Comunicación portal changes its design but not its domain (www.mijascomunicacion.com) nor its purpose, which is none other than to offer citizens plural, objective and close information, now in a simpler and more visual manner. "For me, of course, it is a decisive step, not only at present but also in future, which will improve the informative areas of all the media that Mijas Comunicación offers", said Nicolás Cruz (PSOE), one of the CEOs of the company.
Improvements and novelties in the web
From now on, the distribution of our news and reports on this website will be more practical and immediate. It also improves the live television and radio service, and new features are added to the portal, among them, listed the also CEO of MCSA, Andrés Ruiz (Cs), “there is a new international section with news and reports in English and a new section of radio 'a la carte'”. In addition, users will have the possibility of subscribing to the 'newsletter' of the MCSA portal to receive personalized newsletters by email, "which is important for those who are only interested in certain types of current news, sports, culture, etc. All in all, we are talking about an almost 'à la carte' website”, explained Ruíz.
The director of Mijas Comunicación, Laura Delgado, also added that this website offers a design called ‘responsive’, “adapted to any screen width, be it computer, television, tablet or mobile phone”. Likewise, the portal increases the number of photo-galleries, videos and links on the networks to share, in addition to including "a new version of the newspaper 'Mijas Semanal/Weekly' so that it can be read in landscape view, making it much more comfortable for the reader".
New times
In short, Mijas Comunicación adapts to the new times, leaving behind its old portal, which was ready to retire, to make way for an intuitive, easy and current website. "I am sure that this web platform will cause the same impact as the previous one, which has been awarded several times for the informative content included within", said Cruz, while Ruíz pointed out the interest of this website for companies in the area, "since it is a very powerful portal to publicise local business and provide support when it comes to expanding commerce in the municipality".
The new website is the result, Delgado pointed out, of the work of the professionals of Mijas Comunicación, and highlighted their effort and capacity. For his part, mayor Josele González also underlined the work of the entire staff of the municipal company, “who with their daily work make it more necessary every day to have this communication company, the only one that offers exclusive information on Mijas and that also does so with that peculiar sensitivity that only Mijas Comunicación knows how to provide”.
